We met Amy and Mitch last spring and were so excited that they chose us to photograph their wedding at Windmill Island. We had the chance to do their engagement photographs downtown Holland and then at Windmill Island. Amy and Mitch have been together for 6 years, through Amy’s final years of High School here in Holland and then long distance through her four years at Taylor University in Indiana. Throughout the rehearsal and wedding day we heard nothing but the best things about Amy and Mitch and the speeches given at the reception confirmed to us (and everyone there) how well loved this couple is.
Amy loves this old wagon at her grandparents church where the ceremony took place. After the rehearsal we had some fun with the bridal party and got this fun photograph of the bride and groom. Remind us of anything?

I loved all of the details of Amy’s and Mitch’s day, especially the beautiful brooch that belonged to Amy’s grandmother that she wore in her hair. Fun was definitely the order of the day from the girls laughing at the salon to getting read at Amy’s home to silly photographs at Windmill Island. Amy was also really excited to have multi-colored lip whistles for the guests to blow as they left the church (and as she and Mitch entered the reception, see the photo below). There were also some very touching moments like Amy’s ladies and moms praying for her and Mitch at her home before leaving.
Thank you so much Amy and Mitch for allowing us to be a part of your wonderful wedding day.
